- Smart Lock Pro (4th Generation)
You can control your Smart Lock via Thread even when you're on the go using the Nuki App. For remote access, the Thread uplink of your Matter connection is used. Please note that this feature can only be used if it is supported by your Matter hub*.
Depending on the Smart Lock variant, you can activate remote access to your Smart Lock in different ways.
*Remote Access via Thread is currently only supported by Apple devices (HomePod, HomePod Mini, Apple TV) and Home Assistant.
Option 1 - Smart Lock with Bridge
Remote Access via Thread to be established
If your Smart Lock is paired to a Bridge, you need to first disconnect the Bridge connection. To do so, open the Matter settings in the Nuki App and tap onto the button „Delete Bridge connection”.
After deleting the Bridge connection the Remote Access via Thread is automatically established, provided that you are using a Smart Lock Pro.
If you have a Smart Lock in the standard variant, a one-time payment of €49.00 is required for activation.
Option 2 - Smart Lock Pro with activated Wi-Fi module
Remote Access via Thread to be established
If you have already activated the built-in Wi-Fi module, the Wi-Fi connection will be automatically deactivated, and Remote Access via Thread will be established.
