Protect your Nuki device against unauthorized access.
By setting up a security code you can protect your Nuki device against unauthorized access.
Which areas in the Nuki app are protected by the Security Code?
The lock icon marks the areas in your Nuki app that can be protected by a security code. To protect your Nuki device from unauthorized access, we recommend setting a security code in your app.To access security relevant information, the code is required. You have to enter your security code whenever you want to open the areas "Features & Configuration", "Activity Log" or "Lock Permissions". Only users who know this code can manage lock permissions, view the activity log or change the device configuration.
How to set the Security Code?
To set a security code, tap on the desired device in the Nuki app and open the device settings. Then select "Features & Configuration" > "General". Here you can configure your security code.
Is there an administrator?
Every user who knows the security code can make changes to the device configuration. This means that there is no exclusive administrator for the Nuki app. Users who know the security code can therefore view the areas mentioned above. Users who do not know it, do not have access to configuration, activity log and lock permissions.
Forgot your Security Code?
If you have forgotten the security code for your Nuki device and no other user knows your code, you must reset the Nuki device to factory settings to regain access to the code-protected areas.
