The Nuki Opener is operated by four AAA batteries. It does not draw power from the building system, which prevents power theft. You can install the Nuki Opener without your landlord’s approval.
The batteries are included in the delivery and already inserted into the device.
Alternatively, the Nuki Opener can be operated with 5 V using a micro USB cable (not included with delivery).
How do I know if I need to replace the Opener batteries?
If the battery level drops below 20%, the Nuki App reminds you to change the battery of your Opener. Additionally, the Opener LED flashes 2 x every 15 seconds.
Replacing the batteries of the Opener
To insert or replace the batteries, first open the housing of the Opener. Carefully lift the cover over the micro USB port - this can be done easily without tools. It is best to press the button of the Opener with your thumbs while simultaneously pulling the case forward at the side edges.
