The quality of the connection between the Bridge and the Smart Lock depends on several factors. In many cases, the connection can be improved by moving the Bridge. The following pictures give you a general overview – the green bars show you the positions in which the connection can be improved.
The Bridge is plugged upright into the wall and the connection is poor:
Try using a socket and have the front of the Bridge facing in the direction of the Smart Lock. Sockets behind walls negatively affect the connection and should be avoided.
The Bridge is placed on its side and plugged into a socket strip:
Try turning the Bridge by 90° to align it sideways in the direction of the Smart Lock. This will help you to improve the connection. The final position might vary here, depending on the type of socket strip you’re using.
If the connection is poor, change the device's position and try again. In most cases, rotating the Bridge horizontally or vertically by 90° will help. In general, you should avoid installing the Bridge with a wall between the Bridge and the Smart Lock.
