Nuki Web integration with Google Assistant

By linking your Nuki Web account with Google Assistant you can easily lock and unlock your Smart Lock via voice control. To use Google Assistant to control your Nuki devices, you need remote access and a Nuki Web account.

Set up your Nuki Action for Google Assistant

Make sure you have stable remote access to your Smart Lock before you start activating the Nuki Action for Google Assistent. Please also activate Nuki Web in your Nuki App („Settings” > „Features & Configuration” > „Activate Nuki Web”).

Linking Nuki and Google

  1. Select „Google Home” in the Nuki App under the „Features & Configuration” section.
  2. Tap on „Open Google Home App” to link your Nuki Web account.
  3. In your Google Home app, go to „Add” under Devices/Settings and select Services.
  4. Choose „Works with Google” and search for Nuki.
  5. Sign in with your Nuki Web account to grant Google Assistant access to your Smart Lock.
  6. For unlocking doors with Google Assistant, set your personal security code (e.g. 7485).
  7. When you have finished the setup, tell Google to lock the door. Say for example: „Hey Google, lock NUKI” to test the integration.

Supported commands

You can lock or unlock your door using Google Assistant.
Here are some examples of commands:

  • „Ok Google, lock the front door.”
  • „Ok Google, unlock the front door.”
    Google Assistant will prompt you to enter your security code.

In the commands you have to use the name of the device (e.g. front door).

Troubleshooting

  • Cannot Login? Ensure Nuki Web is activated via the Nuki app by following the path: „Settings” > „Features & Configuration” > „Activate Nuki Web”. 
  • Connections lost? If your connection to Google Home is lost, re-establish it by following the setup steps again.
Note:

Do you have the Smart Lock (4th Generation) or the Smart Lock Pro (4th Generation)? Your Smart Lock also supports Matter integration with Google Home. The new communication standard Matter enables seamless integration of your Smart Lock into your Smart Home.
Currently, you can use Matter integration with Apple Home, Samsung SmartThings, Google Home and Amazon Alexa.
