Smart Home integrations: An overview

The Smart Lock provides compatibility with various Smart Home systems including Apple Home, Alexa, Google Home and Samsung SmartThings.
We support the latest Matter standard, local integrations using MQTT and established Web integrations. Furthermore, Nuki provides open interfaces for custom integration scenarios.

Matter via Thread

The Smart Lock supports Matter via Thread, a communication standard designed to unify Smart Home ecosystems.

Note on Apple Home:

You can easily integrate the Smart Lock into the Apple Home ecosystem, allowing control via the Apple Home app and Siri:

  • The 2nd and 3rd Generation Smart Locks support HomeKit via Bluetooth.
  • Smart Locks from the 4th Generation support Matter via Thread for integration into Apple Home.

Nuki Web integrations

You can use Nuki Web to integrate your Nuki device into your Smart Home. To activate Nuki Web you need remote access.
