The Bridge connects your device to the internet, making it accessible remotely for authorized users. Setting up the Bridge is quick and straightforward with the Nuki App.
Step-by-Step instructions for installing the Bridge
- Enter maintenance mode:
- Plug the Bridge into a power socket near your Nuki device (within 5 meters).
- The Bridge enters maintenance mode automatically. If previously set up, press and hold the button for 10 seconds while plugging it in. A flashing LED indicates maintenance mode. - Connect via Nuki App:
- Open the Nuki App, go to the main menu (three bars on the top left corner), select „Manage devices” > „Bridge”.
- Follow the in-app instructions to complete the setup. - Configure Wi-Fi settings:
- Select your Wi-Fi network and enter the password.
- Optionally, activate the API.
- Save the settings. A green dot will indicate successful connection of Server and Bridge. - Pair your device:
- Tap the plus (+) in the app to connect your Nuki device to the Bridge.
- The Bridge and device are now paired and ready for use.
Tip!
- Ensure the Bridge is within 5 meters of the device, with no walls or doors in between.
- Use the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi signal.
- Enable Bluetooth on your mobile device during setup.
- If connection issues occur, reboot the Bridge by unplugging the Bridge for a moment.
- If the pairing via Nuki App cannot be completed, use the button pairing.
Pairing a Bridge with a new device
You can either pair your Bridge and the Nuki device via the Nuki app or via button pairing.
- Via Nuki App:
Go to the main menu, select „Manage devices” > „Bridge” and follow the in-app instructions to pair your Nuki device with your Bridge. - Via button pairing:
Press and hold the button on both the Bridge and device for 5 seconds. Lights will glow during pairing and flash for 3 seconds upon completion.
